Rooted in Mount Vernon, since 2000.

B. Sharp Hair Art was founded in 2000 with a vision that reached well beyond haircuts. Our current home opened its doors in 2022, but the commitment to excellence and community has stayed constant from the very beginning.

My journey into barbering began right here in Mount Vernon. As a child, trips to the barbershop gave me an appreciation for the confidence and pride a great haircut can inspire — but what truly drew me in was the culture around it. The shop was a hub of community, mentorship, and inspiration. I remember local icons like Heavy D connecting with neighborhood kids at the shop, and on Saturday mornings you might even catch Al B. Sure! singing along to his song on the radio. Those mornings taught me that success and community can flourish side by side.

As a young man, I learned the importance of ownership and of creating opportunities for others. That belief is what led me to open B. Sharp.

To be B. Sharp is to be sharp in your appearance, your mindset, your work ethic, and the way you treat others.

Today, I'm proud of the talented team that serves our community. With more than 100 years of combined experience — and over 30 of my own as a shop owner — we stay dedicated to professionalism, mentorship, and exceptional service.
